My name is Etana. I was born in LA. California on March 4th 1994.
I lived in LA. Only a short amount of time before my family decided to move to Canada Vancouver, and I lived there for four year before my parents decided to make Aliya.
In the year 1998 my family moved to Israel and we've been living in Efrat for 11 years. I have two older brothers and a younger sister. My oldest brother's name is Matanya and he is 21 years old. My other brother's name is Avi and he is turning 18 this month. My little sister's name is Gila and she just had her Bat Mitzvah this summer.
The first friend I met once I got to Israel was Ayelet and we have been best friends ever since. I have also met a lot of other great friends during the years that I've spent here and a lot of them are with me in school right now!
For eight years I was attending Orot etzion elementary school which I absolutely hated, and I was so happy I got to move to a new high school in which I am today –Neve Chana. It was really hard for me to part from a lot of my friends when we each changed schools, but I've found that I can still keep in touch with them and many of them ended up coming to the same school as me anyway. =]
In my life I have spent a lot of time with my friends doing all sorts of things, but I also like spending time with my family.
A couple of years ago we went on an amazing vacation to Italy and Switzerland and that was so fun, I've been dreaming of going back there ever since.
This year my dad is planning another vacation and we are planning on going to England and Scotland! I'm sure that’s going to be just as exciting.
I am now 15 and a half years old and in 10th grade.
I love doing gymnastics', playing soccer, singing, dancing, hanging out with friends, going shopping, watching movies, and just having fun.
Though I do put in a lot of time into my social life I also need to make a lot of time for doing school work so I could get good grades.
I think that the most important things in life are to have fun, enjoy every moment of it, and take advantage of it. Everyone is born for a reason, everyone is special and different.
People should do things because they love doing them and not because that’s what everyone else is doing. So I think everyone should find something in there life that they love and spend as much time as they can doing it. Thank god that you have the ability to do something you love and enjoy every minute of it.
